Two of the most popular amenities in Cape May are the beautiful beaches and our complimentary bikes. Our beaches are pristine and our roads are flat and bike-friendly. We encourage you to enjoy both during your visit!
Whether you are planning to be a beach bum during your trip, spending hours relaxing with your toes in the sand, or you want to walk/run for miles along the ocean, our beaches are calling your name.
We are located just one block from the beach with easy access at any entrance. During the summer months, most of the beaches in Cape May city will be staffed with lifeguards during the day, and we will provide complimentary beach tags along with beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, and an outdoor shower for you to use. Anytime during the day or night, our guests enjoy walking on the promenade that begins a block and a half from the inn and runs along the ocean for 1.5 miles. If you time it right, you can catch a beautiful sunset as it sinks behind the lighthouse at the other end of the promenade.
Biking around Cape May is the best way to see all that the area has to offer. And guests at The Mission Inn can enjoy the use of our complimentary bikes during their stay. And, if you prefer, you are always welcome to bring your own bikes. We can store them in our garage for your convenience.
And if you need some ideas of places to bike to, we can provide those as well. Ride into town to do some shopping and check out the beautiful Victorian houses along the way. Or opt for a longer ride out to the Cape May lighthouse or Sunset Beach to look for your own Cape May diamonds.
