Cape May Museums

Cape May is full of history! You’ve likely walked or biked along the downtown streets to see some of our famous Victorian architecture. But did you know that Cape May also has a few wonderful museums around town? The next time you visit, make time to check out one or more of these museums that pay tribute to Cape May’s past. Click on each to learn more.

One of the truly unique things about Cape May is that the entire town is somewhat of a museum. With more than a hundred restored Victorian buildings, Cape May visitors can soak in some local history all around town. In addition to visiting the places on this list, be sure to spend time just strolling the streets. Wander downtown and imagine people from the past enjoying the ocean air from their grand verandas.

The Mission Inn is certainly not a museum! But it does have a rich and unique history. Click here to learn more about the history of the inn.
