At The Mission Inn, breakfast is much more than a meal. It’s a culinary experience! Join us for a creative and delicious gourmet breakfast to start your day during your stay with us.
Every morning our talented Chef Leslie prepares a plated gourmet breakfast for our guests to enjoy. Starting with a hot beverage of your choice, we will ease you into your day with a bottomless cup of freshly brewed regular or decaf coffee. For tea drinkers, you will be able to choose from more than 20 different blends ranging from English Breakfast to fruit-infused Green teas. And in the cooler months, we also offer gourmet hot chocolate to help warm you up!
Next up is our signature juice list. Depending on the time of year, we offer a variety of fresh juice blends for our guests to select from. This includes our house favorites of Orange-Peach-Mango and Cranberry-Pomegranate, plus a rotating list of seasonal surprises.
Now that you’re awake, we continue your gourmet breakfast experience with a creative fresh fruit course. Ranging from poached pears and baked apples to fresh fruit parfaits and a breakfast sundae, most of our fruit dishes are served with a healthy side of vanilla bean Greek yogurt.
And finally, our special entree of the day makes it way to your table. Created by our very own Chef Leslie, these culinary delights alternate between sweet and savory dishes, providing you with a mouth-watering way to start your day in Cape May. Depending on the morning, many of our main breakfast dishes are served with deliciously crispy bacon or smoked sausage from a local Amish market – all non-GMO and nitrate-free. And if you prefer, Chef Leslie is always happy to prepare eggs any way you’d like them – just ask!
Breakfast is served each morning between the hours of 8:00 am and 9:30 am. Guests may arrive for breakfast at any time between those hours.
During the spring, summer, and fall months, breakfast is served outdoors on our beautiful veranda. We think breakfast always tastes better when eaten the ocean air! But when outdoor dining is not possible due to inclement weather or colder temperatures, guests can enjoy breakfast in our dining room or solarium. Both locations allow for “socially distanced” indoor dining as we limit each table to just four guests at a time.
We are always happy to cater to all dietary needs, providing a healthy and tasty breakfast to comply with your specific dietary restrictions, such as allergies, gluten free, lactose intolerance, vegetarian, vegan, and diabetic requirements.
